Jeralyn Lawrence to Speak at Women’s Leadership in the Law

Jeralyn Lawrence, founder and Managing Partner of Lawrence Law, will participate in the NJSBA Forum on Women’s Leadership in the Law. The year’s most innovative and practical event aimed at fostering the advancement of women in the legal profession will take place on Monday, February 11 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  More information can be found here.

The event will feature Patricia Gillette, one of the county’s leading experts on gender diversity and equality in the workplace. A top-rated trial lawyer and nationally recognized author, she’ll share decades of experience on how women can succeed in the high-powered and fast-paced business environment of today. Gillette will present practical tips to address obstacles like: the fear of failure, impostor syndrome, the confidence gap and presentation styles. She’ll also share the insights of her new book, Rainmakers: Born or Bred, that will help attorneys make the most of the business development opportunities they encounter every day – while staying true to their unique personality.

Lawrence will join a panel discussion about the opportunities and obstacles facing women in government, the business sector and legal community.  The panel will include other women leaders in the New Jersey legal field.  She will also join some of New Jersey’s other top rainmakers, and those who hire them, in small group discussions.

A resident of Watchung, Lawrence devotes her practice to matrimonial, divorce and family law, and collaborative law.  She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney.  She is a trained Family/Divorce Mediator, admitted to the rosters of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases and of Custody and Parenting Time Cases for Somerset County; is certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), the preeminent family law association in America, as a Family Law Arbitrator, where she is also the Second Vice President; and is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.  She has worked with clients in every area of matrimonial and family law, including divorce litigation and mediation, custody and parenting time, alimony and child support, separation and property settlement agreements, adoption and guardianship, domestic partnership matters under the Domestic Partnership Act, domestic violence and sexual abuse, and palimony.  She has also handled high profile matters including celebrities and professional athletes.  Lawrence takes immense pride and care in helping her clients through these difficult personal matters.  An Officer of the New Jersey State Bar Association, she is on track to become its President in 2022.
