Attorneys Kristyl M. Berckes and Daniel A. Burton have received New Jersey Supreme Court Matrimonial Law Attorney Certification

Recently, attorneys Kristyl M. Berckes and Daniel A. Burton have been designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as Matrimonial Law Attorneys. This certification program helps connect litigants with attorneys who the New Jersey Supreme Court certifies as highly qualified specialists in matrimonial law. The Board on Attorney Certification was established by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1980. Kristyl and Daniel are among the 3% of attorneys practicing in the state of New Jersey Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney.

To be certified, attorneys must be a member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar for at least five years, take a specific number of continuing legal education courses in the three years prior to filing an application, demonstrate substantial involvement in the preparation of litigated matters, exhibit a pristine reputation by submitting a list of attorneys and judges who will attest to the applicant’s character and skill, and pass a written examination covering various areas of practice in matrimonial law.
