Lawrence Law is Proud to Sponsor The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault

Lawrence Law is proud to be a sponsor of the September Celebration of Champions for the New Jersey Coalition of Sexual Assault. The celebration is taking place on September 19, 2019, 6 – 9 p.m., at The Hamilton Manor in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The event will honor and recognize those who have contributed to the success of the Coalition including U.S. Senator Cory Booker, N.J. State Senator Joe Vitale and his Legislative Director Stephanie Albanese, two survivor advocates, and a decade long professional in the anti-violence movement.

The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault is the statewide advocacy and capacity building organization that represents the twenty-one county-based rape crisis centers, and the Rutgers University-New Brunswick Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance. NJCASA elevates the voice of sexual violence survivors and service providers by advocating for survivor-centered legislation, training allied professionals, and supporting statewide prevention strategies that work to address and defy the socio-cultural norms that permit and promote rape culture.

“The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault is thankful for Lawrence Law for the work they do on behalf of victims and survivors of violence. We cannot do this work alone and strong, authentic partnerships expand our ability to create a safer, more equitable New Jersey. We feel fortunate to count Lawrence Law as an ally in our work to create a safer Garden State,” said Patricia Teffenhart, executive director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault.

“We are extremely proud to sponsor the September Celebration of Champions. Sexual assault and domestic violence are all too common in our society. Earlier this year, we partnered with VictimsVoice which is a tool that aims to fix the legal documentation burdens victims face when recalling details for reporting acts of abuse, harassment, and discrimination. We will continue to help victims in any way we can.” said Jeralyn Lawrence, Founder and Managing Member of Lawrence Law.
